Your weekly round-up of news from around our wonderful Golden Apples Family nurseries is here!
CAR COUNTING!
The Beacon, Rendlesham
The Toddlers have been very busy making potions. They were super excited to touch the fluffy foam to then watch the potion fizz when adding the vinegar.
They also were learning to count with cars, parking them in the relevant numbered garage. Well done, children!
PRE-SCHOOL PRACTICE!
Just look at the Pre-schoolers go – practising, repeating and applying skills that they learn every day. Some clever little hands here!
MAKING SENSE OF THE WORLD!
Practitioners recognise that babies learn best from exploring new things and experiences.
Children’s deep curiosity leads them to use all their senses to explore real hands-on activities, and then put the information together in their own minds to make sense of the world.
These actives are always a success – so much laughter between the children and adults so it’s a win-win all round!
PERFECT PIZZAS!
The Appletree, Attleborough
The Bramley room made their own tea! The children sat around the table in our baking area, spread tomato puree on pitta bread, then topped their pizza by (safely!) grating cheese and adding shredded ham.
Nicole popped their creations in the oven while the children tidied up the plates and cleaned the table.
The children then ate their homemade pitta pizzas for tea – and they really enjoyed them!
WHAT A SCOOP!
The Cornerstone, Martlesham
The Ducklings and Barn Owls had a busy time exploring colour sand by scooping and transporting it, developing their fine motor skills and problem-solving techniques.
Great stuff, children!
WE DIG IT!
Head Start, Ramsey
A week of diggers and different machinery! The children have been showing a real interest in watching the diggers and machinery around the nursery as there is so much building of houses and maintaining of roads going on.
They explored a sensory tray where the children pushed the vehicles through the cereal and carried out some emptying and filling.
We also enjoyed the milder weather last week and spent some quality time in the garden.
The children enjoyed group games, which encourages communication, turn-taking and physical skills.
We had an exciting morning when a helicopter circled above us and landed near to the nursery.
The children always enjoy a good story time – last week our books were
Toad Makes A Road and The Snail & The Whale.
